Vitadigi Meets Morristown

A momentous occasion today as we presented a plan to the Morristown Business Partnership that drives profiled consumers to their downtown business community.  Sponsored by Debra Tantleff of Roseland Properties, our Vitadigi digital interface was presented (Vitadigi Meets Morristown) to key members of the towns civic gatekeepers.  Vitadigi is a confluence of dynamic on property event strategies, that aggregate cutting edge social media platforms to identify, attract, monetize and maintain a sustainable pool of profiled consumers.  We are looking forward to the roll out meetings for key neighborhood constituents, termed “Anchor Partners” in the coming weeks.

America The Dutiful

We know injustice when we see it.  Although many of the professional people analyzers out there inform that most of us avoid conflict, the people I know are eager to tell you if they’ve been wronged. Well, wake up Truth Sayers!  America got robbed in today’s World Cup match. Clearly discriminatory, it is an outrage for it to happen under this kinder, gentler administration.  Hey, we share the world’s angst now.  Doesn’t this ref know that Washington is suing Arizona, for heaven’s sake.  Gone are the unapologetic days of old, no?   I guess discrimination knows no politic.   It’s our duty as patriotic Americans to demand better.

In order to drive consumers, I need to protect them first.

You Can’t Buy Your Way To The Top Any Longer: The Adidas / Nike Story

Let me make this simple, Adidas is the main advertising sponsor for the World Cup and Nike is getting most of the online traffic.  This complicates things, doesn’t it?  No longer can you just buy your way to the top.  What it tells me is that focused digital content has become the great equalizer.  And, as the world moves further onto the web, creativity rules the day.  Ultimately, as content becomes more and more affordable in the digital domain, quality ideas will become the new currency.  How they gonna make change?

The Pocono 500, A Snapshot of The America Past

I live in New Jersey.  We watch Football, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey in that order.  I just surfed the opening ceremonies of the Pocono 500 and saw a crowd of over 100,000 with hats in their left hand, right hand over their hearts, singing the National Anthem as if the louder they sang, the more it mattered.  I’m pretty sure that’s the way things used to be, back when PC was still a computer and before Route 66 got paved over by the Information Superhighway.  Digital is truly the new frontier, but apparently, nothing drives consumers like the the American gasoline engine! I bet Elvis and Sinatra would agree, not sure about Ashton Kutcher…

The Perfect Weekend At The Chelsea

Gavin Evans watches Roy Halladay celebrate a Perfect Game

By definition, you can’t do better than perfect.  When perfection is achieved, it demands respect and recognition.  The Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ achieved perfection this Memorial Day weekend when we reached 100% capacity on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.  Gavin Evans (shown in the picture), a principle at Normandy Real Estate Partners, and I were lucky enough to host a dinner party in the Hotel’s Game room on Saturday night, where we watched Roy Halladay from the Phillies pitch a rare, perfect game; again, perfection!!.  But seeing what happened on the 5th Floor Pool Deck at The Cabana Club was truly the icing on the perfect cake.  Thousands of people, dressed to impress, converged around the pool and partied hard for roughly 72 hours.  As I checked out on Sunday, I saw Mark, the VIP host, setting up for the afternoon daylife event.  I said jokingly, “what time did you go to bed, last night??”.  He said, “I still haven’t- this is the summer in Atlantic City- I’m not tired, I’m perfect!!”.  Thanks to all for a spectacular weekend- you know who you are…

Saving Opera!!!

What can I say, Esco wanted my chair at the Design Studio and I couldn’t help but feel that he deserved it…

Lu and I were working out the kinks today of our latest marketing assignment for Riciordi Rome, Italy. Not that serious of an assignment, we’ve only been asked to reinvent Opera for a wider audience profile…!!! Riciordi owns the rights to the oldest, largest Opera catalog in the world and feels that it’s time to widen their net a little.

Why not us???

A Yankee Lesson in Real Estate Development!!

It’s not every day that you find yourself in the best seats at Yankee stadium, sitting next to sports talk radio personality Mike Francesa, overhearing his rolling commentary on the Boston Red Sox and the game’s developments.  You do when you are with NJ real estate favorite, Ed Walsh, in his guaranteed to impress patio tickets behind home plate.  But it wasn’t Mike’s developments or Ed’s preferred access that brought me to the Bronx, rather it was Jim Burdge’s.  You see, Mr. Burdge and his company Giannasca Development are working on Projects so interesting, that I sprung for the $12 dollar Cracker Jack’s  just to keep my focus on overdrive.  The Yanks hit two Homers in the bottom of the ninth to tie and win the ball game; unfortunately, I had headed for the car earlier in 8th inning when all seemed lost.  I learned an important lesson that night:  Burdge aint goin nowhere until he gets what he came for!!

Walsh Wins NAIOP Award

Sharing the bill with real estate moguls Peter and John Hanson, Ed Walsh captured the hearts and minds of the real estate public last night when he accepted a prestigious business award from NAIOP.  500 people were on hand at the Palace in Somerset to hear Ed credit his success to support from his lovely wife Lynn, a great employee team and membership at his beloved Trump National Golf Club, where he has reigned as Club Champ.  “In the end” said Walsh, “It’s HOW we do business that makes the difference”.  Judging by the reception from the industry’s top talent, He must be HOW’n pretty good…
